Happy Wheels Character Tier List Hub

This is a community-style S through C ranking for general Happy Wheels user levels, not an official Fancy Force ladder and not a score for one famous map. Jim Bonacci’s HTML5 client at totaljerkface.com lets you pick any unlocked kit unless the author forced one. Steam app 4705510 is scheduled for 21 September 2026; the ranking below is about the live browser roster, which is single-player.

Criteria: first-attempt success on mixed featured maps, recovery after a bad lean, and how often user levels are built around the kit. Map-shaped exceptions always beat the letter grade. S tier

Segway Guy. Best all-round beginner. Space jump, Shift/Ctrl posture. Compact, no extra rider, and authors still test on him. First pick on an unknown featured map. He drops out of S the moment the opening is a canyon he cannot jump.

Wheelchair Guy. Jet wheelchair. Space fires the jet, Shift/Ctrl rotate the nozzle. Gaps and short verticals that dump every other kit. S-tier because flight solves layouts that look unfair on two wheels. Not S-tier if you mash Space and loop the chair. Treat thrust as a tap until the nozzle angle is a habit.

A tier

Irresponsible Dad. Bicycle plus child seat. Space brake, eject split, C camera. Brake control on descents is a hidden superpower. Two hitboxes keep him out of S. The seat is extra mass and a second camera, not a real-world topic.

Pogostick Man. Hold Space to charge bounce. Vertical spike towers are his maps. A-tier because those towers show up often, but the skill floor is real. On a flat highway he is a worse Segway.

Effective Shopper. Motorized cart, Space jump, re-grab after eject. Stable on flats and roads, which is most of the featured pool. Thin beams drop her to B on those specific maps. Re-grab is why she sits above other heavy kits.

B tier

Moped Couple. Space boost, Ctrl brake, Shift eject passenger. Boost corridors bump them to A. Everywhere else the extra rider is extra fail. Do not pick the moped because it looks fast on the menu; pick it because the hallway is built for boost.

Irresponsible Mom. Same two-body bicycle idea as Dad, slightly less author support, so B instead of A. If a map forces Mom, play it as Dad with a different silhouette.

Helicopter Man. Copter plus magnet. Unique, easy to flip. B because magnet puzzles exist but are not the default featured shape. Hover without a magnet task is usually a worse pogo.

C tier

Lawnmower Man. Wide, Space jump, can shred some NPCs and objects. Tight spikes punish the deck. C unless the map is a shred joke or a wide dirt path.

Explorer Guy. Minecart, hold Space on rails. C on mixed levels, and the correct pick on rail maps. The exception is the whole point of the kit. Off-rail he is a box.

Santa Claus. Elf sleigh, Space float. Awkward hitbox, seasonal gimmick. C except on holiday layouts built for the team. Float is a short skip, not a jet.

Map-dependent exceptions

Rails go to Explorer Guy even though he is C on mixed levels. Vertical spike towers go to Pogostick Man, with Wheelchair Guy as the jet alternative. Boost corridors go to Moped Couple. Magnet hangers go to Helicopter Man. Wide dirt with breakables can go to Lawnmower Man. Holiday sleigh routes go to Santa. An unknown featured thumbnail still goes to Segway Guy.

A C-tier kit on the correct map beats an S-tier kit on the wrong one. Forced-character levels delete the ranking; play the locked kit and reset. Letter grades here are a default for mixed user levels, then you override the pick the moment you see rails, a pogo tower, or a boost hallway.
